The “Japan-UK Season of Culture” runs from 2019-2020, when Japan hosts two sporting landmarks: the Rugby World Cup in 2019 and the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2020, celebrating the relationship between Japan and the UK.

２０１９年のラグビー・ワールドカップと２０２０年の東京オリンピック・パラリンピックという２つの画期的なスポーツの祭典を日本が主催する２０１９年及び２０２０年に「日英文化季間」が展開されます。
英国の方々のこれらのスポーツ祭典への関心を基礎に、「日本文化季間」では日本の多面的な魅力を紹介することを意図しています。英国中の方々が、日英相互理解を深めるこの機会を活用し、永続的なレガシー創りをお手伝い下さることを期待しています。
